Green movement

This is also oil on linnen and at first only yellow and blue and white to mix. for more impact I added red. Some called it a slice of melon and that's nice if another sees something in an abstract painting.

When I put it on the cabinet behind the gourd, I started to like it.

oil, 40x50 cm.

Pushing

I had a white canvas in front of me and didn't know what to put on it. So I just started with the smal dark part and worked my way around until it was a pleasing composition with movement to me.
40x50 cm, oil

Journey

I actually was painting a sky here, but when I turned it around I saw parts of a ship and a sail.
I developed the painting further as an abstract boat.

Acrylic on canvas, 50x70 cm.

Peace-Purple

I still continue with abstract paintings as well as watercolours.
The abstract painting is good for my mind.
It almost feels like a meditation if I worked on one for a few hours.
I'm still unsure about the title, but the colours in this one give me peace, while there is still movement in the painting.

After the workshop with Trevor Waugh I knew how to finish this painting.

Workshop2

This are the paintings I made at the workshop.
Lilies on a smaller format, daisies and at last roses from a photo
of Stephie (Thank you). I finished the roses at home.

Workshop

In October I stayed with my friend Stephie, and together we went to a workshop of Trevor Waugh.
Flowers in watercolour.
It was really fantastic. An eye-opener for me. Especially for the backgrounds.
It was very intensive, also because I had to concentrate on the English as well as the painting.
BecauseTrevor teaches small groups, everyone gets the attention they need from the teacher. Including getting to know each student, help, feedback and evaluation.
He showed many demo's from the beginning of a painting till the finishing touches. Just awesome.
He showed many demo's like daisies, roses in different colours.
This is one of his demo's of lilies.

Playing Paige

Months ago I painted a background without knowing what to paint on it, until I saw a picture of a friend. Playing Paige.
To me an unique atmosphere that was exactly what I needed on that background.

Dutch landscape

Well, when I don't know what to paint, I paint a landscape from the area around me. That is always inspiring, because the colours changes by the day.

The love of my life ----Hans---- has passed away Saturday night.

The first day of Spring.

It hurts to let him go.

Tom, our son, has to miss his father.

Just at an age they start talking as adults with each other.

Heartbreaking.

I know he is in a better place now.

A place without pain, no sorrow,

Only love.
Thursday March 25, 2010 is his last day in this world.

I know that one day we will meet again.

Bye my love........................................

Saturday, 27 February 2010

Time passes quickly.

It's very busy here at the moment.

I got some roses from friends because of the bad news about Hans.

He won't recover. And I feel very very sad about it. We make the best of it and I enjoy every day we are together. It's hard to see my love being so ill.

I was in tears when I got these roses. But they also made me smile.......... friends world wide!!!!

Finally a new post in this year.

The last few weeks have been very busy, because Hans came home from the hospital.

I have to help him with a lot of things all day. Since he is allowed to use his arm things are a bit easier.

Still I managed to paint. This is Bella a comissioned portrait. And it is sold. The owner loved it!!!
