Elisabeth and Wendy

The last few weeks I was busy with some portraits. I made 4 but I'm allowed to post the ones of Elisabeth and Wendy. Mother and daughter.
I really enjoyed painting these. I was lucky to get some pictures with lovely lights on the faces. And natural light. Good pictures make it more enjoyable to paint .
I was happy to hear they loved the paintings. :-))

The Major

My dog...The Major... a Jack Russell terrier is 14 years old now, and this is the second time I painted her.
Once in watercolour and now in................... watermixable oil paint.

Stephie and I saw a demonstration at the David Shepherd Wildlife Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London,
Mandy Shepherd and Emily Lamb were demonstrating there.

I ordered the watermixable oilpaint because I liked it so much and it does work fine.
No terpetine, no smell. Fantastic!! The brand I could order here is Cobra.

Oil on linnen, 12x16", 30x40 cm.

Exhibition

Yesterday I hang the paintings for an exhibiton in a homecare called St. Jozef house.
The paintings are from members of the artgroup I join in the winter season.

The exhibition started June 15 and will last till October 15, 2011

At least the people in the homecare had really possitive feedback and enjoyed the paintings.
Ofcourse there are a lot of people visiting their mum or dad who have to stay in there because they can't live on their own anymore. Which means a lot of views biggrin.gif

3 of my acrylic paintings hang there. Totally there are 26 paintings hanging.

brushwithwater/001_crossfingers.gif for some sales.

Playing Paige

Months ago I painted a background without knowing what to paint on it, until I saw a picture of a friend. Playing Paige.
To me an unique atmosphere that was exactly what I needed on that background.
12x16" Lanaquarelle

These are some others I did when I stayed with Stephie in London.
We picked up some leaves and used them as example to paint from live.
Done without drawing.

Sunflowers

When I came back from my Holiday in Germany, my first client for Shiatsu massage brought me a great bunch of sunflowers, so when he was gone I started painting right away.

Tuscany, Italy

I just spent a week in Barga, Italy with 2 friends from the UK. We had a great week. Beautiful weather, so we could sit outside the house on a huge terras and paint the gorgeous views of the town Barga and the Serchio Valley.
