Rachel and Wesley

It has been quite a while since I posted. Time for some new paintings.
I got a lovely commission to do of 2 young children. Rachel and Wesley. I'm glad the grandmother loved the portraits. She kindly gave me permission to post the portraits.

Friesland, dorpje Schalsum,

Once in a while I paint something else then abstract, so 2 paintings of a village nearby.
A part of Schalsum and the Schalsumer windmill, which is outside the village.
I see those views daily when I walk the dog.

Both acrylic on canvas, 40x50 cm, 16x20"

Cityhall, Franeker, Netherlands

Finally finished this acrylic on canvas of the old cityhall in Franeker, built in 1591.

50x70 cm.

Friday, 10 July 2009

Today I finished a small landscape in acrylics, 30x 40 cm/12x16".

It's a view on the dike, with the old houses in front of the dike.

Behind that high dike is the sea.
